The non-profit Gerontology Research Foundation will provide HealthScreens, a state-of-the-art health screening at 902 Adelia St. in Blaine on July 7.
The foundation is dedicated to screening for early warning signs of heart attack, stroke, abdominal aneurysms and other silent killers, using ultrasound imaging, colour-flow Doppler, cardio vision and sonometry screening tests.
Since 2006, Blaine Christian Fellowship has annually hosted the program, in which ultrasound technologists use high frequency sound waves to view arteries and internal organs. Original sonograms are included in an immediate written report.
Tests are priced individually from $40-$50, while the complete screening of 10 tests is $250.
