Marijke Peterson has often wondered where her Sunnyside Elementary classmates ended up.
If all goes well at this fall’s reunion, after 47 years, she just might find out.
“I always sort of knew where one person was, but the rest, I haven’t had a clue,” said Peterson, a grad of the 1962 Grade 7 class.
Peterson is organizing the school’s 60-year reunion. It’s to take place Oct. 16, and will include an opportunity to visit the school from 1-3:30 p.m., followed by evening festivities at the Pacific Inn Resort & Conference Centre starting at 5:30 p.m.
It’s open to anyone who ever attended Sunnyside, and Peterson is hoping at least 250 will turn out.
“It’s really a big thing for me,” Peterson said.
“I’ve often wondered where everybody went. I look at the pictures once in a while.”
