Golden Bears top Spartans

The Alberta Golden Bears came into Langley and scored a pair of 3-1 victories over the Trinity Western Spartans as the second half of the Canada West men’s volleyball schedule kicked off.
The Golden Bears won 3-1 (25-19,20-25,25-21,25-21) and 3-1(24-26,25-13,27-25,25-23) at the Langley Events Centre.
Both teams are tied for fourth in the most recent CIS national polls.
Steven Marshall led the attack in both games for the Spartans, finishing with 19 and 16 kills, respectively.
Jarrod Offereins had 15 digs on consecutive nights, while Ben Ball finished with a combined 76 set assists.
Trinity Western is back in action this weekend as they host the Regina Cougars (0-10) at the LEC.
