Two key members of the senior A Langley Thunder are going to the Rock.
Garrett Billings and Stephen Leblanc were both selected in the first round of the National Lacrosse League’s annual draft on Wednesday night by the Toronto Rock.
Billings, a Langley Minor Lacrosse product, was taken sixth overall.
This past season, his first in the WLA, Billings led the Thunder to the post-season and finished tops on Langley with 38 goals, 39 assists and 77 points.
The numbers were good for third in the entire league and earned Billings the rookie of the year award.
Leblanc, a rookie from Ontario, was fourth on the Thunder with 18 goals and 24 assists. He was taken 11th overall.
