Four Aldergrove rugby players have returned from Ontario after helping their respective teams medal at the national youth rugby championships last week.

Christina Brewer and Randi Hunter were members of B.C.’s U19 women’s side, which went 4-1 in the round robin and won the silver medal.

The team’s only losses came to Ontario, once in the round robin and then again in the gold medal game.

Brewer scored one try in the tourney, while Hunter punched in three scores and added five conversions to win the scoring title.

In the U17 age group, Tara Skwarok and Elyssa Phillipson helped B.C. to a bronze medal finish.

Skwarok had one try and two conversions, while Phillipson was instrumental in winning ball possession with her aggressive play in the rucks and the scrums.

And also at the tournament, Langley’s Stephen Rowell coached the B.C. U16 boys’ team to an undefeated record and the gold medal.
