Adrian, Canadian hoops team at LEC

Local hoops fans will have a chance to see Canada’s senior women’s national basketball team this Friday night at the Langley Events Centre.
The Canadian squad, which features Langley’s Kelsey Adrian, faces Clemson University on Friday night at the LEC. Game time is 5 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.
The team is in the Fraser Valley in preparation for a world championship qualifier tournament in Brazil. Prior to that, the team will head to Cuba for some exhibition games.
Adrian helped the Brookswood Bobcats win three consecutive senior girls’ AAA championships before leaving for Hamilton in Grade 12, where she was part of the inaugural class at the Canadian National Elite Development Academy (NEDA) program. She has spent the past three seasons at the University of California.
