Gold, bronze at Games

A pair of local athletes captured medals at last week’s 2009 B.C. Disability Games in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

George Thirkill, competing in the blind sports category, won the gold medal in golf.

And Rob Corrins, competing in the amputee category, won bronze in the male singles five pin bowling.
