Thirty of the top midget (ages 15-16) lacrosse teams from around the province are in the midst of going for the gold at the 2009 provincial lacrosse championships this weekend.

Teams are competing in four different age groups (A1, A2, B and C), including three Langley entries, are gunning for the gold.

The tournament is being held at the Langley Events Centre, George Preston Recreation Centre and the Aldergrove Arena.

All four gold medal games are Sunday at the Preston Centre (9 and 10:30 a.m., noon and 3 p.m.)
