Jeremy Filipek was named to the B.C. roster for the upcoming U17 Canada Cup baseball tournament.
Filipek is an outfielder with the Langley Blaze.
The 2009 Baseball Canada Cup tournament runs Aug. 5-9 in Kindersley, Sask.
Filipek was also one of several members of the Blaze who make the B.C. team for the Pacific Northwest Championships. The team will compete Aug. 14-16 in Portland, Ore.
On that squad will be Mike Ellis (right-handed pitcher), Alex Reid (RHP) and Nic Mahovlich (1B).
Karl Malcek (RDP) was named an alternate to the squad.
