Sue Kim came up one shot short of forcing a three-way playoff at the B.C. junior girls’ amateur championship.

Kim shot rounds of 72-71-71—214 at Pitt Meadows’ Golden Eagle Course.

She finished four-over-par and one back of both A Ram Choi and Soo-Bin Kim.

Choi needed an extra seven holes before capturing the championship.

Kim was the defending champion in the event.

Her finish did earn Kim a spot on Team B.C. for the upcoming Royale Canadian junior girls’ championship.

Kim was one of a handful of Langley golfers in the event.

Jessica Wallace finished sixth, after shooting a 76-68-83—217 and Jisu Choi was tied for 14th spot.

Jessica MacPhee was 22nd in the field.

The B.C. junior boys’ championship was played last week at the Pitt Meadows Golf Club with Taizhi Yang as the top Langley finisher.

Yang placed 16th out of the field of more than 150 golfers.

Tony Ko also wound up in the top 20, finishing tied for 17th.
