Resting place sought

Editor: This letter is for the lady who ran over my cat on Aug.19 around 9:30 a.m., on 203 Street, just north of 50 Avenue.
I was in agony all day, knowing something bad had happened, but didn’t find out until late evening that he had indeed been run over and would no longer be at my side.
He has been my constant companion for 12 years — I sorely miss him. He was a large shorthaired tabby cat. He’d been on a diet and had been receiving injections for his arthritis. Consequently, he had been feeling so good that he had started hunting again. This meant he had been roaming a bit too far from home.
I realize he must have run out directly in front of your car — I don’t blame you for the accident. In fact, I would like to thank you for caring enough not to leave his poor broken body where he’d died.
I would just like to find out where you took his precious body, because he did have an ear tattoo and no one has phoned to say he’d been found. I’d greatly appreciate it if you could call me at 604-530-3297, just to tell me where his final resting place is.
Muriel Walsof,
Langley
