Forego pay raises
Editor: Now that Premier Gordon Campbell has released some more of his bad news for us, and having done a complete about-face on such things as the HST, we wonder if in his efforts to gather money for the provincial coffers he and all the Liberal MLAs and Carole James and her NDP MLAs would be willing to forego their pay increases that they so generously gave themselves back in the spring?
Campbell is now talking about freezing the wages of the public sector and of course we all know where the money saved will be going — straight into the Olympics deficit. I agree with the comment “we put a drunk driver in the driver’s seat.”
There is an old saying that goes “you can sober up a drunken horse thief, but he is still a horse thief until you teach him not to steal horses.”
The time remaining in Campbell’s reign of terror can’t go fast enough for us, and we sure won’t be voting for any Liberals in the next election. Please someone, come up with a better alternative than the NDP, Marijuana and Green parties.
