Vehicle assault

Editor: Last Sunday evening as I was walking home, I was struck very hard by a large container full of water and ice. It was thrown by a passenger in a dark SUV (or pickup truck?) travelling at high speed.

This happened on 96 Avenue at 210 Street, with the vehicle travelling toward Fort Langley. This really shook me up, as it happened while the vehicle came up from behind, and I didn’t see it coming.

While this unsavoury character may have gotten his kicks and had his laugh, I would like him to know that I am left with a huge welt mark and some broken skin, surrounded by an even bigger bruise (8” by 3”). After the initial stinging for about an hour, my arm ached all night and it was still sore Wednesday.

I hope this person has a conscience and is sorry for what he’s done, vowing to never act in such a juvenile manner again.
