A worker was airlifted to hospital after a fall working to repair wires on a pole in the 244000 block of 57 Avenue on Friday morning.
It isn't know if the worker fell from a bucket or from the police, but many neighbours watched as the helicopter landed in a nearby backyard to take him to hospital.
Township fire department assisted with clearing the area and set up to let the air ambulance land. The extent of the hydro workers injuries aren't known at this time. Assistant fire chief Bruce Ferguson said there were a few calls of wires down in Langley but nothing nearly as bad as what they dealt with last winter. Several areas of Langley lost power and regained it again through Thursday night.
B.C. Hydro wasn't able to confirm whether or not it was one of their workers by deadline Friday.
