A $112,000 watermain project and fire hydrants has been approved on 204 Street, between 62 and 64 Avenues.
Township council approved the expenditure on Monday, upon receipt of a report advising the project could cost between $20,000 and $30,000 more, if done after road construction in the area is completed.
The engineering department is preparing a tender request for widening 204, between 62 Avenue and 64 Avenue, where currently no hydrant exists.
To install the watermain link and the fire hydrants now will avoid cutting and repairing the road surface later.
