Trustee sought for Aldergrove Planning Committee seat

A school trustee will be invited to sit on the Aldergrove Planning Committe, after a unanimous decision by Township council on Monday.
In March, on recommendations from the Township planning department, an update of the Aldergrove Community Plan was approved by council, and in May council appointed the Aldergrove Planning Committee to provide locat input, liaison and guidance through the review process.
Councillor Charlie Fox told council Monday that a school trustee could add valuable input in the planning process.
Council last year established a $100,000 fund for the community plan update.
Members of the committee appointed by council in May include residents Brian Thomasson, Hattie Hogeterp (a former school trustee), Bob Bailey and Lee Hollaar.
Business owner representatives are Angie McDougall, Sonny Janda, Maureen Robinson and Ron Daems, while Doug Bloomfield is the Aldergrove Enhancement Committee (ACE) representative on the planning committee.
And Councillors Fox and Bob Long are non-voting council representatives on the committee.
