Bike over the Golden Ears bridge between Maple Ridge and Langley for the start of Great Ride events on Sunday, July 12.
Start at the Caribbean Festival in Maple Ridge or begin at the Little White House and Co. in Fort Langley and ride a figure-eight loop with the Golden Ears Bridge at the centre. Check in anytime between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m, get your map and be on your way.
This Great Ride has route options from 14 km to 34 km, with extensions to take your total up to 64 km. To register go to greatrides.ca
This ride is the launch of MEC and the Vancouver Cycling Coalition annual Great Rides events. Little White House is sponsors this event.
They will be offering free refreshments (lavender lemon aid), Sweet Petits from their new cafe (opening end of July) and activities for the whole family.
The Artisan Market will be in full swing and the courtyard garden will be open for visitors too.
The Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition (VACC) is a volunteer-run non-profit society whose members work to improve conditions for cycling in the Lower Mainland. The VACC works to change the circumstances that discourage bicycle use: inadequate cycling facilities, and lack of education for both cyclists and motorists.
