The International Association of Administrative Professionals is hoping to form a Fraser Valley chapter, for people in the Abbotsford, Coquitlam, Langley and Surrey communities.
Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts will be the keynote speaker at an information meeting about the proposed new IAAP Fraser Valley Chapter. Mayor Watts’ address to IAAP reflects her passion for supporting businesses, by working in partnership with innovative, forward-thinking organizations like IAAP to help local businesses attract and retain a superior workforce.
IAAP is a not-for-profit association for career-minded administrative professionals with approximately 40,000 members and affiliates and nearly 600 chapters worldwide. Its mission is to enhance the success of career-minded administrative professionals by providing opportunities for growth through education, community building and leadership development. IAAP is in the process of chartering a chapter which would be based in Surrey, to expand IAAP’s reach to thousands of professional administrative staff who live and work in the Fraser Valley.
The meeting takes place next Wednesday, Oct. 21. While the registration deadline has now passed, more information about the proposed chapter can be obtained by sending an e-mail to iaapfraservalley@gmail.com.
