Surrey Remembers. On Nov. 11 the Surrey Museum and Archives will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for Surrey Remembers. Bring your families to the Remembrance Day service at the Cloverdale Cenotaph at the Surrey Museum Plaza, then come inside to the Museum or Archives for activities: make "peaceful" crafts, watch vintage war videos in the theatre, or send thank-you notes to veterans in the Lower Mainland. Find out about the soldier's knitting charity, the Boomer Project, and see weaving demonstrations. Admission $5 for adults, $3.75 seniors and students, $2.50 children and youth. 17710 56A Ave. At the Surrey Archives, see wartime newspapers, documents, photographs and a slideshow on Surrey's participation in the World Wars, and listen to the veteran's oral history collection.
