CBC Radio One broadcast to highlight Cloverdale and the Canadian Country Music Awards
Cloverdale, it’s time to tune in for your radio debut.
CBC Radio One is coming here next week. Popular current affairs show On The Coast will be broadcasting live from the Surrey Museum Friday afternoon.
Host Stephen Quinn will be on hand for the Sept. 11 broadcast, along with special guests.
The show is a celebration of the Canadian Country Music Awards, taking place next weekend in Vancouver, the usual home of CBC’s On the Coast.
The program lineup also promises to hone in on issues that are central to Cloverdale, the historic heart of Surrey, from agricultural initiatives to exploring the life of a modern cowboy.
There will also be musical performances by indy singer-songwriter Ridley Bent, a self-styled “hick hop” artist and CCMA roots artists of the year nominee who blends country, rock and hip hop influences.
