Members of Clovedale’s Royal Canadian Legion had a meeting recently to hear more about a proposed redevelopment of the Cloverdale Mall site.
The proposal hinges on the legion’s co-operation, which will have to move from its current location to a new building within the project site. The eight-acre parcel of land is better known as the former “Safeway” mall in downtown Cloverdale; it is bordered by 57 and 58 Avenue and between 176 Street and the bypass. The redevelopment is being overseen by the City of Surrey Development Corporation, architect Patrick Cotter and a development company called TL Housing Solutions.
