BC Hockey officials honoured

Hockey Canada and BC Hockey recently honoured officials from B.C. who officiated in a National and/or International Events at the Above Minor Development Camp at Trinity Western University on August 8.

The honoured officials and the event they worked are as follows:

Teresa Anderson – Langley – 2002 Esso Women’s National Championship

Kiel Murchison – Surrey – 2009 World Championship Division III

Chris DeHaan – Abbotsford – 2009 World Championships

Jennifer Konicek – Kamloops – 2009 Women’s Under 18 Championship

Kris Hartley – Kelowna – 2005 World Under 20 Division III

Ron Dietterle – Aldergrove – 2009 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge

Pat Smith – Delta – 2009 World Championship Division 1

Lowell Dick – Langley – 2009 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge

Brett Iverson – Richmond – 2009 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge

Jason Cramer – Surrey – 2009 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge

Ryan Dawson – Kamloops – 2008 World Jr. A Challenge

The following list is of officials who worked at the 2009 RBC Royal Bank Cup in Victoria from May 2-10:

The BC Hockey Officiating Program uses the Hockey Canada Officiating Program to train and evaluate officials working within the Branch. The program that BC Hockey administers allows for basic level training to elite high performance training within the system. This is a proven method and will continue to develop BC’s top officials and allow for them to make the next step in their development.
