Aldergrove 'Rugby 7' BC Champs
Seven Aldergrove Secondary rugby players who contributed to the Provincial Rugby Championships at UBC, July 3-6, are Connor Hunter, Randi Hunter, Christina Brewer, Doug Saunders, Elyssa Phillipson, Jon Thompson and Tara Skwarok.

Seven rugby players from Aldergrove Community Secondary School participated in the Provincial Regional Championships this past week-end, July 3-6, at UBC.
Playing for the Fraser Valley Regional representative sides were Connor Hunter, Jon Thompson, and Doug Saunders at the Boys U16 level, the Gold Medal Champions for Fraser Valley East.
The Girls U17 Fraser Valley side had Elyssa Phillipson and Tara Skwarok, playing for the bronze medalists and Randi Hunter and Christina Brewer playing for the gold medal-winning Girls U19 Fraser Valley side.
Fraser Valley also won the Boys U18 division to give the region three out of four age group titles and the Fraser Valley West at the U16 boys collected a bronze medal as well, rounding out a dominant performance.
Randi, Christina, Tara and Elyssa have all received invitations to try out for the respective provincial age groups with the potential of heading to the National Championships in Markham Ontario, August 6-13.
