In this edition of The Star we salute the small business people of our community, and while it may sound like prosaic small town boosterism, the merchants of our community deserve our wholehearted support because they provide the services that make it a pleasure to live in this community.
Simply put, commerce is the lifeblood of the local economy, providing not only the goods and services we need but also the jobs — and in many cases the charitable support that keeps local people and organizations healthy, happy and strong comes from these business people.
In the past decade or so the business community of this area, between 232 Street and Bradner Road, has invested in a variety of business endeavours that can provide all your household needs.
Nothing stops anyone from venturing further afield, but if you take the time to look about and introduce yourself to the local business people you will find that you can get anything here, and at a competitive price.
Aldergrove is a unique community in that it’s the only one in the region with a drive-in theatre and zoo. In addition we have superb equestrian facilities, excellent schools and other attractions such as natural parklands, athletic parks and of course, some great sports teams like the hometown pride, the Kodiaks hockey team.
All of these things make for a complete community, one that we can be proud of and happy to support every way we can.
