A busy Halloween

Halloween night kept Langley RCMP officers busy, as more than triple the usual number of complaints came in.
There weren’t any serious crimes or injuries to report, but plenty of impaired drivers, drunken, noisy revelers and firecracker complaints, said police.
In total, 156 calls came in on Oct. 31. In comparison, only 60 calls went to Langley RCMP the previous Saturday, said Cpl. Holly Marks.
“We had a large police presence out there,” she said.
Police handed out 11 24-hour driving suspensions, two impaired driving charges and 15 people spent the night in jail, mostly alcohol-related.
“We had many, many noise and firecracker complaints,” she said.
