The United States General Services Administration announced that the commercial inspection lane at the Lynden/Aldergrove land port of entry will be closed, from Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 17.

During this period, commercial traffic will be rerouted to the Sumas or Pacific Highway Land Ports of Entry.

The temporary closure is due to installation of a new bi-level inspection booth at the Lynden port of entry.

This new booth will allow inspections of both passenger and commercial vehicles and is designed to improve traffic flow during peak summer periods as well as during the upcoming World Police and Fire Games at the end of July, 2009 and the 2010 Winter Olympics in February, 2010.
