Mount Baker Secondary and Parkland Middle School in Cranbrook play host to senior boys and senior girls volleyball tournaments this weekend.

The Wild boys kicked things off this afternoon with a close win over Fernie, while the Mount Baker girls defeated Prince Charles of Creston in two straight.

"We just barely beat Fernie in the third set, 18-16," said Steve Hammond, Mount Baker senior boys coach. "They have some very strong players and have really improved. They gave us a strong game right out of the gate."
