The Brock Auto Centre Bandits came out on top following a high-scoring Halloween date with the Sharks in pee wee rec action.

Trey Chisolm and Katerina Charvet each scored twice for the Bandits, while Josh Campbell and Rylan Douglas added single markers in the 6-2 win.

Cooper Jordan led the way offensively for the Sharks, managing a pair of goals and one assist. Colton Boomer and Zachary Thormiley also scored in the loss.

Graydon Larson got the win in net, while Dylan Czajkowski took the loss.

• Red Bullets spook Ghost Pirates

An empty net and an extra attacker weren’t enough for the atom house Ghost Pirates to knock off the rival Red Bullets on Sunday.

The Red Bullets got out to an early first-period lead on goals from Pierce Huser and Tylan Fraser, and took a 2-1 advantage into the locker room after 20 minutes.

Both teams scored in the second period —Huser’s second of the game for the Red Bullets and Brayden Jensen for the Ghost Pirates — leaving the Bullets ahead going into the final frame.

Brayden Jensen’s second goal of the game, assisted by Kyle Pitts, tied the score in the third period, but Andrew Hall answered back for the Ghost Pirates.

The Ghost Pirates pulled goalie Bennett Hunter in the final minute of play but weren’t able to capitalize with the extra attacker.

The Red Bullets held on to win 4-3.

• Blazers burned on Hallo-weekend

Halloween weekend turned out to be a scary time for the bantam tier 1 Jardine Blazers.

The Blazers dropped back-to-back league games to Penticton on Saturday and Sunday, losing by a cumulative total of 11-5.

Diego Cuglietta scored the lone Blazers’ goal in Saturday’s 3-1 loss, while Liam McLeod put in a solid effort in net.

Bobby Kashuba had two goals, while Steven Rintoul and Connor Brown-Maloski added single markers in Sunday’s 8-4 loss.

McLeod and Ty Hamer-Jackson split the goaltending duties on Sunday.

• Rockets surge despite carrying skeleton roster

A seriously depleted roster wasn’t enough to slow down the midget AAA girls’ Thompson-Okanagan Rockets in their first weekend of league play.

The Rockets — who travelled to the Lower Mainland for the contests with just 12 players — blew up the competition, scoring 17 goals in their three games.

The Rockets topped the Fraser Valley Phantoms 3-2 on Friday before laying a 7-0 beat-down on the Prince George Cougars the following day.

They wrapped up the road trip on Sunday with a 7-3 win over the Vancouver Island Impact.

Julia MacKinnon led the way offensively for the Rockets, tallying five goals and three assists for eight points in the three games.
