Vikings tackle Eagles in Jr. Bantam football

Coquitlam Vikings rallied from a 12-0 halftime deficit to dump the North Surrey Eagles 18-12 in a Junior Bantam minor football game Sunday at Bear Creek Park.

Quarterback Nicholas Okamoto rushed for a touchdown and threw to Theo Landers for another, before Okamoto connected with K.J. Johnson for the winning toss with 35 seconds remaining.

• Elijah John scored two majors and Arjay Shelley had another as the Coquitlam Wildcats blanked the White Rock Titans 22-0 in a Peewee contest.

• Jake Bye had two touchdowns but the Coquitlam Raiders were spilled 38-26 by the Langley Outlaws in a Jr. Bantam battle. Jordan Kennedy and Kyle Deugau had the Raiders’ other majors.
