Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club

June 23: The club counted “Hidden Holes” to determine the score.

First flight: first Vijai Vaagen; second Vi Ward; third Linda Krysta; fourth Doris Tower.

Second flight: first Donna Pederson; second Louise Mitchell; third Helen Benallick; fourth Maribel Rothfield.

Third flight: first Julie Macaulay; second Jean Walker; third Emmy Put.

Fourth flight: first Ev Crane; second Ev Gillespie; third Zoe Morris; fourth Lorraine Miller.

Summerland Senior Mens Club

June 24: The Summerland Senior Men’s Club held a three nets and one gross event.

Bob Fortune, with a gross score of 70 and Graham Wade with a net score of 60 had outstanding days to lead all players.

The net events were won by Fortune (65) and Doug Steinke (67) in the first flight.

The second flight was John Unger (66) and Lionel Coleman (67.)

Third flight was won by John Pederson (70) and Ron Grimsgaard (73.)

Fourth flight was Graham Wade (60) and Ken Foster (68.)

Sumac Ridge Golf Club Senior Mens

June 24: Low gross: Gerry Bryant, 27.

Low net: Maurice Wood, 28.

Birds: Gerry Bryant, 3; Maurice Wood.

Closest to pin: Dan Kelly.

Longest putt: Gerry Bryant.

Central Okanagan Senior Slopitch

The league will be attending a Canada Day tournament on July 1 in Peachland, hosted by the Peachland Legion. There will also be a Can/Am tournament hosted by the Summerland Aces on July 18 and 19. Teams from both sides of the border will play at Dale Meadows park in Summerland. Come out and support our senior ball players.
