SURREY — A doughnut in the win column remains for Surrey Knights, a hockey team still looking for its first win 35 games into its PJHL season.

They came close to earning an elusive ‘W’ on home ice Thursday (Jan. 5) when North Vancouver Wolf Pack won 4-3 in overtime, thanks to a Jackson Tadey goal.

A comeback bid saw Kevin Kutasi, Trevor Sundher and Samuel Witter score for Surrey, after North Van jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first period.

Later in the week, the Knights lost 4-1 in Mission and 9-1 in Richmond.

On the season, Surrey’s Junior B squad has 33 regulation losses and a pair of single-point OT setbacks, with just nine games remaining.

The Knights play host to Grandview Steelers at North Surrey rec centre on Thursday (Jan. 12), followed by another match in Mission on Friday.
