Ella Matteucci's bases loaded triple in the second inning, launched Team BC to a 14-4 victory over Quebec 2 at the Senior Women's Baseball championship in Surrey on Thursday evening.

With B.C. Up 2-0, the Fruitvale native took a two out, 1-1 pitch deep, clearing the bases and giving the host team a 5-0 lead and what proved to be the winning run in the victory.

Matteucci went 5-for-5 on the night with a double, a triple, and three singles, while knocking in five runs, and playing solid defensively at short stop.

In Thursday's other matches Alberta beat B.C. 2 by a score of 14-2, while Ontario walloped Nova Scotia 17-1, before Quebec took out Ontario 2, 7-2.

Matteucci and Team B.C. plays Nova Scotia tonight at 7 p.m. and defending champion Ontario at 1 p.m. on Saturday. To follow the games on PointSTreak go to baseball.ca for details.
