Burnaby kids to LL World Series

Two kids from Burnaby are members of the South Vancouver Little League team that captured the Canadian championships in Valleyfield, Que., Saturday.

South Vancouver defeated the High Park Braves of Ontario 4-1 in the Canadian final Saturday.

Emma and Evan March of Burnaby and 10 teammates are now headed to Williamsport, Penn., to represent Canada at the Little League World Series. Their first game will be Friday against the Mexican champions from Guadalupe.

South Vancouver’s area includes South Burnaby to Royal Oak Avenue.
