The Abbotsford Warriors peewee C lacrosse team brought home a bronze medal from the provincial championships in Richmond last week.

The Warriors went 2-1 in pool play with wins over Port Coquitlam and Penticton, which put them safely through to the semifinals, where they fell 8-1 to Saanich. The Abby squad bounced back in the third-place game, though, beating Shuswap 7-5. Jackson Lawrence was named a tournament all-star.

"The kids were awesome – they got better every time they stepped on the floor, and they deserved it," said Warriors coach Craig Campbell.
