Former and current Rockets gather for Alumni weekend

Kelowna Rockets alumni will gather in the city this week for the 14th Annual Rockets Alumni Weekend, a charity event with proceeds going to the Kelowna General Hospital's orthopedic ward.

The weekend has been downsized this year with the annual hockey game being cancelled, while preparations are underway for the golf tournament to hit the links at the Harvest Golf Club on Friday.

Organizers were forced to cancel the hockey game portion due to a lack of players available for the planned game.

Rockets alumni that have confirmed for golf include Cody Almond, Tyson Barrie, Jamie Benn, Evan Bloodoff, Adam Brown, Jason Deleurme, Vern Fiddler, Josh Gorges, Dillon Hood, MacKenzie Johnston, Brett Lyon, Kris Mallette, Brandon McMillan, Tyler Mosienko, Colton Sissons and Tyler Spurgeon

Current Rockets players including Tyson Baillie, Carter Rigby and Jackson Whistle will also be in attendance.

Tickets remain available for the golf tournament and you can get information and purchase your ticket by calling the Rockets office at 250-860-7825.
