Rockets jump on board with Kelowna tech company

One of the fastest growing tech company's in Kelowna has partnered with the Kelowna Rockets to provide local hockey fans with a unique opportunity to get good deals on fine products.

GetintheLoop Marketing Ltd., founded by former Kelowna hockey player Matt Crowell, and the Rockets have agreed on a partnership that will see Rockets season ticket holders receive a GetintheLoop membership. The membership will provide access to premium offers from select establishments throughout the Okanagan, western Canada and eventually across the country.

Included in the partnership with GetintheLoop, is the creation of the Rockets Loop. The Rockets Loop is exclusive to season ticket holders and fans and will deliver special offers directly to their mobile devices before and after every Rockets home game. Members are now just one touch away from the best promotions all over town.

Crowell, a lifelong Rockets fan who played hockey in university and in Europe before returning to Kelowna and founding his company, says working with the Rockets is a big milestone.

“Growing up watching the Rockets and now having the opportunity to work with them is super exciting," he said. “We are particularly excited about the Rockets Loop as we believe it will become the go-to for all game attendees to enjoy food, drinks and fun at their favourite establishments around town.“

GetintheLoop is a mobile marketing company that utilizes the latest in cloud based and mobile technology to connect premium businesses with their customer base. Over the past year, GetintheLoop has grown to connect thousands of members to hundreds of select partners throughout western Canada and are poised for rapid growth across the country.

"Our partnership with GetintheLoop will add tremendous value to our sponsors and fan base, something that is always top of mind within our organization.”

With the technology sector growing in Kelowna, the Rockets director of marketing says it's exciting to support a start-up and also provide value to its fans.

“Our mandate is to provide the most value to our sponsors, season ticket holders and fans and the Rockets Loop is a great way to connect everyone and extend the Rockets brand throughout the community," said Anne-Marie Hamilton. “The choice to partner with GetintheLoop was an easy one for us. The technology community in the Okanagan is growing very quickly; we want to support it and are excited to be a part of it.”
