In Chilliwack, four Nelson Selects girls squads are fighting for provincial glory.

The U13 Selects improved their record to 1-1 with a 3-1 victory over the Bulkley Valley Rapids.

It was a different story for Nelson's U14 girls squad. Despite a great effort, the locals fell 1-0 to the Cowichan Valley Chaos. It was a heart-breaking loss as the Selects battled throughout, keeping the match scoreless until the 85th minute.

The loss drops the U14 squad's record to 0-2.

Nelson's U15 girls had their hands full, taking on the host Chilliwack Attack. Nelson lost the contest 4-0 giving them an 0-2 record so far.

The U17 team had a solid game, blanking Coastal FC Royal 2-0.

In Richmond, two Nelson Select boys squads are getting ready for their second matches of the tournament.

Coming of a 1-1 tie yesterday, the Nelson U15 squad took on the Penticton Pinnacles FC. The Selects lost the contest 3-0.
