Soccer champs set to be crowned at McLeod Athletic Park

Some of the province's top soccer talent will be on the pitch at McLeod Athletic Park this weekend.

Fraser Valley FC, along with their partner club Langley FC, are hosting the top youth soccer clubs from the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) on June 28 and June 29.

"We are extremely excited to be hosting the 2014 Provincial Premier Cup and we look forward to seeing some of the youth soccer players in the province battle it out for a chance to go to the Canadian Soccer club nationals," said Andrea Laycock, the chairperson for Fraser Valley FC.

The winners of the U14, U16 and U18 age groups will have the chance to compete at nationals.

"With the chance to compete at nationals on the line, the quality of soccer played by these young players is incredible," said Don Dancey, the BC Soccer chair of youth competitions committee.

The boys finals are set for the first day (Saturday) while the girls finals are on the Sunday.
