Roller derby coming to the Gardens

The Rink Minx roller derby team is heading to Campbell River for the only time this season.

The women will be taking on the NWO Outsiders from Chilliwack.

Half of the Rink Minx are from Campbell River and the whole team is pumped to show Campbell River what roller derby is all about.

“Rumble in the River” takes place at Strathcona Gardens on July 5, doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the whistle blows at 7 p.m.

The halftime show will be performed by the junior team from Cumberland, the Stone Cold Stellas.

Tickets are $5 or free for kids 12 and under and can be purchased at the Tidemark Theatre in person and online, at the Java Shack, Crossfit O’Twelve and at the door.
