Senior Blaze win pitcher's duel

Louis Boyd's fielder's choice in the third inning scored Tristan Graham and that was all the run support necessary.

Shane Kraemer, Steven Federau and Dillon Reynolds combined on a six-hit shutout as the Langley Senior Blaze edged the Coquitlam Angels 1-0 in Pacific Metro Baseball League action on Wednesday (June 18) at Coquitlam's Mundy Park.

The Blaze improved to 4-1.

Kraemer struck out five in five innings of work and has now fanned 31 batters in 22.2 innings of work. He has yet to allow an earned run this season.

Federau got out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth and Reynolds pitched a one-two-three seventh — with two strikeouts — for the save.
