Sunnydale Tuesday Ladies enjoy sun

Sunnydale Tuesday Ladies were blessed with sun again on May 27. Drier course conditions resulted in lower scores and better shots by most of the field of 37.

Birdies were attained on #10 by Sherry Harrison and Trish Harris, on #5 by Patricia Lowe and Carolyn Walker, and on #14 by Carolyn Walker.

Carolyn had a very good day as she was the low gross winner with a score of 87. Other low gross winners were Pat Peden (91), Linda Lee Root (93), Joan Brown (96) and Teri Sleigh (97).

Jane Grant was the low net winner (71), followed by Charlene Cebryk (75), Chris Annand (75), Vick Bombini (77) and Lorna Fowler (79).

Rob Speer Pro Shop chits were awarded to Pat Peden (lowest number of putts), Barb Dixon (longest putt on #9),  Jane Grant (KP #15), Vicki Bombini (KP 2nd shot #17 HH), Patricia Lowe (LH KP #5), Anna Butler (HH KP #5). Becky Kenner won a sleeve of balls from Rob Speer Pro Shop (KP #10). Earl Costello donated a Royal LePage golf towel which was given to Lucille Campbell.

In the 9-Hole Ladies Club, Louise Smiley was low gross winner, Coral Tanner won low net and Ardene Larson had the lowest number of putts.

The 9-Hole Ladies and Tuesday Ladies Club are always looking to welcome more women to join us on Tuesday mornings for sunshine, golf and, no doubt, a few laughs.

Every Tuesday the Ladies Club will be drawing names for a free round of golf at Sunnydale. The winners are drawn from a barrel of all customers who have paid green fees the previous week, so be sure to put your name in the draw bin in the clubhouse when you come out to golf.
