Strong skating shown in Parksville
Duncan and Fuller Lake Skating Club members completed the competitive season in the Vancouver Island Skate International at Parksville.
Results for the Duncan group included a solid fourth place for Anna Brancato in Star 5 13 and over Group 2. Caitlyn Luckhurst was eighth in Group 2 and Stephanie Hleck came 10th in Group 1.
Star 4 Under 13 Group 1 competition brought a fifth place for Peyton Kong while Sophia Hodgins secured sixth in Group 2.
Cecilia Faustino finished 10th in Star 5 Under 13 Group 2.
Senior Bronze Ladies competition resulted in an 11th place for Courtney Vanderstap. She was also third in Bronze Interpretive followed by teammates Baylee Hopwo in fifth and Brancato in ninth.
Bronze, silver and merit awards went to skaters in the Star 1 through 3 categories.
In Star 1 Group 1, Kennedy Wipplinger claimed bronze and Peyton Wipplinger meriit. Brooke Wipplinger earned bronze in Star 1 Group 5.
For Star 2, Chloe Blace received bronze in Group 2, Keilen Russell silver in Group 3, Jessica Mosewich merit in Group 5 and Leva Schneider silver in Group 6.
Star 3 results included: bronze for Rylee Smith in Group 3, silver for Ryley MacDonald and DelRae Olson in Group 4 and silver for Sonja McCormack in Group 5.
Fuller Lake's Star 2 girls Lucy Street and Amelia Trimble both claimed bronze and Brooklyn Puska silver.
Sophie Dawe received bronze in Star 3 girls and Joshua Wheeler silver in Star 3 boys.
Danika Hakala skated to seventh in Star 5 U13 girls; Jazmin Wheeler took ninth for Pre-Juvenile U11 and Sarah Kedves was 10th in Pre-Novice U14 ladies.
