Hawthorne ignites Team White

Reece Hawthorne scored twice as Team White bounced Team Orange 5-3 in North Okanagan Youth Soccer Association Under 14/15 boys soccer action Saturday at Marshall Field #5.

Kyle Karens, Sam Frisby and Man of the Match Gavin Donald also scored for Team White, who got stellar goaltending from Nick Mitchell. Leon Schenker and Kieran Webster led the Orange offence. In Under 18 girls play, Team Green grounded Team White 4-0 with Darian Newman earning the shutout and goals coming from Ania Spalwinski (2), Marissa Aldrich and Amy Parsons.

Midfielders Danielle Butler and Faren Gosselin and defenders Michelle Ockert, Hana Whibley and Halle August enjoyed marvellous showings.
