Hurricanes storm to Alouette Cup victory

The U13 Hurricanes girls team from the Mission Soccer Club won the Alouette Cup earlier this month.

Facing the West Coast Auto Group Football Club of Vancouver in the final, the Hurricanes won 3-0, with all the goals coming in the last 15 minutes of play. Scorers were Kira Katan, Jenny Wang and Morgen Likness, while Brooklyn Cooper and Tess Venables provided stellar goalkeeping. The entire team played exceptionally well, with Daljot Herr and Alicia Holst among the standouts.

The victory capped a terrific season for the Hurricanes, who also finished first in the B.C. Coastal Girls Soccer League and won the District Cup.
