Equilibrium Lifestyle Management (ELM), is offering a specialized Running Technique workshop on Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

'Run Tech' has recently been updated to include the most current research in the areas of running technique, performance, injury prevention and footwear. Runners, coaches, therapists and physicians who work with runners will all benefit greatly from this three-hour workshop and take home new tools they can begin using immediately. Past workshop participants will also find great value in attending this new edition which is full of new research, techniques and tools.

In this practical workshop, running coach and kinesiologist Sarah Seads will teach participants how specific changes to technique, training and program design will help them reach a new level of performance and decrease their risk of injury.

“This small group workshop includes a personalized running analysis and technique instruction for each participant as well as form drills and corrective exercises to improve stability, strength and mobility," Seads said.

"Participants will learn the benefits and techniques of efficient footstrike, cadence, and barefoot running. We are very excited to now have research to support specific techniques for decreasing injury rates and improving performance,” Seads added.

Space is limited in this workshop and participants must pre-register by Monday, March 31 to secure a spot. Go to www.elmhealth.com for more information and to register.
