UBC's Schlagintweit earns all-star nod

Rosie Schlagintweit of Abbotsford has been named a Canada West women’s volleyball first team all-star.

Schlagintweit, a six-foot outside hitter from Yale Secondary, is second on the UBC Thunderbirds in kills (264), trailing only Canada West MVP Lisa Barclay.

The fourth-year player has helped the T-Birds win the CIS national championship in each of her previous three seasons, and top-ranked UBC is on track for another – they host the Canada West Final Four this weekend.
