Falcon gymnasts qualify for B.C. championships

Greater Victoria-based athletes from Falcon Gymnastics made the most of their chance to take their game to the next level, during a meet in Comox last weekend.

With an opportunity to qualify for the upcoming provincial championships with solid finishes, five of seven Falcon gymnasts competing there at the P2 level did just that.

Adelene Buchanan, in the open age group (born 1999 and earlier), Emily Lyall and Emma Longbottom in Novice (born 2000-01) and Mia Butcher and Isabella Conforti in Tyro (born 2002-03) secured spots into the B.C.'s, happening March 14-16 in Kamloops.

At the provincials, the five will join four Falcon teammates who compete at the P3 and P4 levels and receive automatic entry into the competition.
