On Tuesday at home, the Lakers faced the Kelowna Owls and lost 58-39.

The Owls blew the game open in the last five minutes as the Lakers got into foul trouble. The Lakers led 21-17 at the half and through most of the third quarter. Emily Clarke and Ana Moroziuk got into foul trouble for the Lakers and spent the better part of that quarter watching from the sidelines.

"We handled their press well in the fullcourt but couldn't hit shots from the outside against their trapping zone defence," said Lakers coach Lesley Lacroix. "Their shooting in the fourth quarter was exceptional, making all the difference in an otherwise very close match up."

Top scorers for the Lakers were:

Tessa Lannon-Paakspuu with 11 points and 5 steals

Natasha Reimer with 9 points and 10 rebounds

Emily Clarke with 8 points and 9 rebounds

Annie Plant with 7 points and 7 rebounds.
