WATCH: Roberto Luongo's Acrobatic Paddle Save. Unnecessary, But Neat.

On Monday night, the Vancouver Canucks played the worst team in the Western Conference. And they lost. But in the middle of a 60-minute snooze-and-looze, Roberto Luongo pulled out an incredible paddle save, robbing a combination of Oiler sticks (I'm pretty sure it was last touched by Edmonton's Boyd Gordon?) by reaching back and above to whack-a-mole the biscuit away from Vancouver's net.

It was probably going to sail over the net, but you've gotta go for some style points when you drop a 4-2 decision to one of two basement-dwelling Alberta teams. And Luongo did that.

Oh, Canada.
