Two of the newest Alberni Valley Bulldogs got a taste of how Port Alberni’s hometown crowd can buoy a game when they scored their first goals with the team at home last weekend.

Mitch Owsley scored the winner in the 4–2 contest on the power play in the third period, and Jake Kauppila scored the empty-netter at 19:29.

The Bulldogs play two away games this weekend. On Friday, they play the Silverbacks in Salmon Arm, and on Saturday the play the Vernon Vipers.
